He leads this insane 80-yard, 11-play drive with two minutes left on the clock and it is pure chaos and guts. The drive ends with Rachaad White punching it in from a yard out with six seconds left. That drive was Baker refusing to quit, scrambling, throwing, and getting in everyone’s face while the Texans were left watching.

The play everyone is going to talk about is that fourth-and-ten with 1:32 left at Tampa Bay’s 32. Pocket collapses, Texans all over him, and Baker breaks free for a 15-yard scramble. That first down is literally the difference between losing and walking off with a win. He keeps the Bucs calm, keeps the offense alive, and six plays later the game is over with a walk-off. That scramble alone is enough to cement last night as a Baker Mayfield moment.

He finishes the night with 215 yards passing and two touchdowns. Not insane numbers on paper, but the stat that matters is clutch plays when the clock is running out and everyone thinks he is done. Baker is not done.

And yeah, he got banged up. Grabbed his leg like something was tweaked, looked like he might have rolled an ankle, but the second someone chirped at him he was back up talking smack like it was nothing. That is classic Baker. Hurt one second, trash-talking the next. Fans eat that up. Critics hate it because it works and it is annoying.

Meanwhile, let us talk about the Browns and basically the rest of the NFL. The Browns drafted him first overall and then totally fumbled the bag. They bounced from injuries, bad trades, and front office nonsense, let him go, and now he is making them all look dumb. It is not just the Browns, every team that had a shot at picking him up treated him like a stopgap. Tampa Bay rolled the dice, gave him a real shot, and he made them look smart. The league just straight-up fumbled the bag.

This is Baker Mayfield in a nutshell. He will get roughed up, chirp at opponents, and then lead a game-winning drive when everyone else counted him out. The Browns and anyone else who passed on him can keep talking. Last night the tape says it all. Baker made them pay.
