I genuinely feel bad for anybody who saw Montana State at Idaho on the TV guide and decided they had better things to do.
THIS is why college football is so damn good. Idaho was 0-4. Montana State was No. 1, the defending FCS national champs, and riding a 19-game winning streak. Idaho goes down 34-20 in the fourth and you’re thinking alright, fun upset scare, good effort.
Nope.
The clock gets down to one second and Idaho isn’t getting another snap off.. then Montana State CALLS TIMEOUT. Joshua Wood gets one more play, finds Ryan Jezioro for the touchdown, and Idaho says screw overtime. Wood runs in the two-point conversion. 35-34. Kibbie Dome loses its mind.
There are people who only watch the giant programs and ranked FBS games, and man.. you miss some AWESOME football that way. Sometimes the best game of your Friday night is 0-4 Idaho trying to knock off the No. 1 team in the country at damn near 2 AM on the East Coast.
If you missed this one, I actually feel bad for you. College football rules.
