Ohio State just beat Maryland 45-16, and Jeremiah Smith is making a pretty damn convincing argument that the Heisman Trophy belongs in Columbus this year!
His FIRST TWO catches today went for touchdowns. One from 33 yards, another from 40. He finished with four catches, 93 yards and TWO scores. Apparently that’s all the work he needed to put in today..
Last week he torched Iowa for 206 yards and two touchdowns. Now he’s sitting at 916 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns through SIX games. This dude is putting up video game numbers while defenses know damn well who Ohio State wants to get the football to.
And we’re talking about OHIO STATE here. A program that has produced some ridiculous wide receivers over the years, and Jeremiah already owns the school’s major career receiving records.
I know the Heisman usually ends up going to a quarterback, but how much more does this kid have to do?!
If anybody wants that Heisman Trophy, they’re going to have to PRY IT OUT OF JEREMIAH SMITH’S HANDS.. because he sure as hell isn’t giving anybody a reason to take it!
