Kentucky missed TWO field goals in the fourth quarter against LSU.. and STILL found a way to beat them 35-34 in overtime. That is a BRUTAL way to lose a football game.
Kenny Minchey ran in the winning two-point conversion, and now Lane Kiffin is sitting at 4-2 in his first season at LSU. One loss to the Ole Miss program he LEFT, and now another to Kentucky after LSU had multiple chances to put the game away.
LSU agreed to a $54 million buyout to move on from Brian Kelly, then turned around and handed Kiffin a SEVEN-YEAR, $91 MILLION contract. That’s an unbelievable amount of money to spend on a coaching change just to be sitting at 1-2 in SEC play six games into the season.
I’m not saying six games is enough to judge the entire hire.. but LSU made this move because they expected to compete for championships, not keep watching the same frustrating losses with a different guy wearing the headset.
LSU fans, are you starting to regret hiring Lane Kiffin, or are you still convinced he’s the guy? And do you think the people who signed off on that $91 million contract are starting to have some regrets of their own?
