The more things change, the more they stay EXACTLY the same at Penn State.
Last year, James Franklin lost 22-21 to Northwestern and got fired the next day. Penn State finally moved on, started the Matt Campbell era, escaped the James Franklin experience forever..
And Northwestern just beat their ass 34-13.
You cannot make this up. They fired the coach and somehow kept the software.
But the football gods weren’t finished, because Franklin also picked up his first loss at Virginia Tech this weekend.. to PITT, 35-33, after the Hokies missed the game-winning field goal as time expired.
So Penn State changed coaches and still lost to Northwestern. James Franklin changed schools and still found a heartbreaking way to lose a big game.
Everybody moved on and somehow NOBODY moved on.
