Steelers Fans Made the Buccaneers Feel Like Visitors in Their Own Stadium

Pittsburgh Steelers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, NFL, Steelers Nation, Raymond James Stadium, Terrible Towels

Steelers fans were so loud in Tampa today that the BUCCANEERS were having trouble communicating on offense.. in their own damn stadium.

There were so many Pittsburgh fans at Raymond James that people covering the game thought they actually outnumbered the home crowd. And this wasn’t just a bunch of Terrible Towels making for a good TV shot. The noise was legitimately causing problems for Tampa’s offense.

What’s funny is the Steelers gave those fans almost NOTHING to cheer about for three quarters. Pittsburgh had three points, Tampa was up 16-3, and all those people in black and gold were looking at a pretty miserable road trip.

Then the Steelers came back to win 26-19 in overtime, and by the end you could hear Pittsburgh fans chanting DEFENSE while the Bucs had the ball.

Steelers fans traveling well isn’t exactly breaking news, but there’s a difference between showing up and actually outnumbering the home crowd.

Tampa is now 1-5. Bad enough to blow a 13-point lead at home.. a little worse when half the stadium is rooting for you to do it.
