The Cowboys just played two WINLESS teams four days apart and somehow went 1-1.. Dallas could make a bye week look difficult.
On Sunday, they needed a CeeDee Lamb touchdown with 40 seconds left to escape the Texans 34-30. Four days later, the 0-4 Buccaneers showed up in Dallas WITHOUT Baker Mayfield, started undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels, and beat the Cowboys 24-16.
Bucky Irving ran for 165 yards, Tampa rushed for 241 as a team, and held the ball for over 39 minutes. You’re playing at home against a team that hasn’t won a game, with a rookie quarterback making his SECOND NFL start, and they’re running the ball down your throat while your offense watches from the sideline.
Being a Cowboys fan has to be EXHAUSTING. Sunday you get this incredible comeback that makes you think maybe they’ve finally figured something out.. then Thursday rolls around and you’re watching the Buccaneers celebrate their first win of the season in YOUR stadium.
Cowboys optimism apparently comes with a four-day free trial.
