The Jets spent an entire week talking about getting Garrett Wilson more involved.. then went a whole HALF against the winless Dolphins without throwing him the ball once.
He finished with THREE targets, two catches and 26 yards in a 28-25 loss. At some point, I’d start wondering if my name got left off the damn play sheet.
And look at what happened when New York got to Miami’s ONE-yard line. Two running plays that went backward, followed by a sack and a field goal. You’ve got Garrett Wilson on your offense, and that’s what you come up with from the one?!
So when Wilson gets heated on the sideline, are we really going to do the whole wide receiver diva conversation again? Wilson and Geno Smith both said they weren’t arguing with each other. Even Aaron Glenn admitted the Jets needed to do a better job getting Wilson the football.
I’m not saying Geno should throw into triple coverage just to keep him happy. But you can’t spend a week talking about how important Garrett Wilson is to your offense, barely use him AGAIN, and then expect the guy to be thrilled about it.
I’d honestly be more concerned if Wilson watched all of that and WASN’T pissed off.
