Padres Beat Brewers 4-3 to Keep NLDS Alive in Game 3

San Diego Padres, Milwaukee Brewers, MLB Playoffs, NLDS, Jake Cronenworth, Michael King

Apparently you CAN win a one-run playoff game without the stadium itself getting involved.

The Brewers got Game 1 after Ty France’s potential go-ahead homer hit a roof cable and dropped into Jackson Chourio’s glove. San Diego comes home down 0-2, loses Mason Miller to the paternity list, and wins Game 3 4-3 anyway. Jake Cronenworth puts the go-ahead homer over an actual wall, then Michael King gets the final SIX outs two days after throwing 72 pitches.

Look at that.. no cables, no ricochets, nobody checking the stadium ground rules. Just baseball!

Milwaukee still leads 2-1, but all three games have been decided by ONE run. The Padres are alive, Game 4 is in San Diego and they’ve apparently discovered the controversial strategy of winning playoff games without needing assistance from the architecture.

Keep the roof in Milwaukee.. we’ve got a series.
