Ryan Day Has to Go: Julian Sayin’s Injury Exposed Ohio State

Ohio State, Ryan Day, Julian Sayin, Luke Fahey, Tavien St. Clair, College Football

Ryan Day has to be DONE at Ohio State. This program is dead right now, and I think we’re finally realizing just how much Julian Sayin was holding this entire team together.

The signs were there against Texas when Ohio State blew a 23-3 fourth-quarter lead. Even against Illinois, Sayin had to account for FIVE touchdowns while the defense kept giving up big plays. He was making this roster look a whole lot better than it actually was.

And I still cannot believe that Luke Fahey was the best option Ohio State had behind him. No disrespect to the kid, but you’re telling me a program that recruits five-stars like they’re collecting Pokรฉmon cards couldn’t develop ONE reliable backup quarterback? You have Tavien St. Clair sitting there, and Fahey was still the best option?

That’s on Ryan Day.

You can blame Sayin’s injury all you want, but Oregon lost its starting quarterback too. They just walked into Columbus and put up 41 POINTS.

Day has done a great job collecting talent, especially through the portal. Congratulations. At some point, you have to actually develop the roster you’ve assembled instead of needing another superstar to save your ass.

Ohio State shouldn’t completely fall apart because one player gets hurt. This isn’t some rebuilding MAC program.

I think it’s time for Ryan Day to go.
