The Brewers Won the World Series and Wisconsin Is Taking Friday Off

Milwaukee Brewers, World Series, MLB, Wisconsin, Brewers Championship Parade

The Milwaukee Brewers won their first World Series and Wisconsin has basically decided nobody needs to act normal for the rest of the week.. I LOVE IT!

Milwaukee Public Schools canceled classes Friday for the championship parade. One fan reportedly found himself 34,000 people deep in the queue for celebration tickets.

And over in Waukesha County, a judge actually issued a COURT ORDER allowing people to wear Brewers gear inside courtrooms through the parade.

That’s AWESOME! We’re talking about a courthouse, and even they’re making an exception because the Brewers finally won a championship.

This is one of my favorite things about sports. You win a championship and suddenly the entire city is on the same page. People are calling off work, kids are getting out of school, and everybody just wants to be part of it.

And Milwaukee has NEVER experienced this before. Think about how many Brewers fans have spent their entire lives waiting for this, and now they get to celebrate it with their kids, their parents, their grandparents.. everybody.

If I’m a kid in Milwaukee, I’m remembering the day school got canceled because the Brewers won the World Series for the rest of my life.

Enjoy the hell out of Friday, Milwaukee. You’ve earned it!
