Colorado fans stormed the field after beating a 4-4 Kansas State team in overtime.. THERE IS NO WAY we’re doing this.
I’d be embarrassed if I were a Colorado fan. You’re 3-5, just snapped a five-game losing streak, and your first Big 12 win in over a YEAR came against a team that’s also 1-4 in the conference. And you celebrated by tearing down the goalposts like you just punched your ticket to the College Football Playoff.
Remember when Deion Sanders showed up and Colorado was supposedly becoming the coolest program in college football? Celebrities on the sidelines, national attention every weekend, people wearing Colorado gear who probably couldn’t have found Boulder on a map six months earlier.
That bandwagon had a pretty short warranty.
Colorado went 9-4 in 2024 with Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, and everybody was ready to crown this program. Since those two left, Colorado has won SIX games across two seasons.
Now we’re rushing the field because we barely beat Kansas State’s backup quarterback?
I’m all for college kids having fun, especially on Halloween. But there’s a difference between celebrating a win and acting like you’ve just witnessed a historic moment.
The funniest part is that Colorado spent all that time trying to convince everybody it was a national powerhouse, and now its biggest celebration is for getting out of the Big 12 basement.
