Josh Allen Finally Wins in OT as Rams Waste Their Chance

Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Rams, Josh Allen, Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua, NFL

Josh Allen has 100 career NFL wins.. and it took him until No. 100 to get his FIRST overtime victory.

HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?!

Allen came into Monday night 0-7 in overtime, and for a minute it looked like the Rams were about to make it 0-8. He hits Khalil Shakir for 57 yards to open overtime, James Cook fumbles on the very next play, and suddenly Los Angeles has the ball with a chance to win.

And think about what the Rams had going for them. Matthew Stafford threw for 383 yards and three touchdowns. Puka Nacua caught SEVENTEEN passes. Their defense just handed them an overtime possession.. all they needed was a field goal.

Instead, Greg Rousseau blocks the kick, Allen takes off for runs of 19 and 13 yards, and Tyler Bass drills the winner. Bills win 37-34.

I don’t know which fanbase had the bigger emotional roller coaster. Buffalo finally escapes a curse that’s followed Allen his entire career, while Rams fans get to watch their team score 34 points, recover a fumble in overtime, and STILL lose.

The Rams missed a 50-yard field goal earlier, too. At some point you’ve gotta wonder how much more Stafford and that offense are supposed to do.

Josh Allen finally gets his overtime win.. and the Rams are gonna be sick thinking about how close they were to keeping that streak alive.
