Winless through nine games. The coach is hated by the city. The coach is saying his defensemen are too horny? The goaltender appears to stink (we could’ve guessed this would happen). Their young guys look lost. Their veterans are already in trade rumors. These things are all currently happening to the Philadelphia Flyers, and I couldn’t be happier.
The team is devoid of a number one center and a number one defenseman (Travis Sanheim isn’t a number one), so this outcome should’ve been predictable. Porter Martone might stink. Michkov might too. Maybe being fat last year wasn’t the real issue. Zegras is a rat who’s a third-line center peacocking as a 1C.
This team is a mess and will be for the foreseeable future. They haven’t won a Cup in over 50 years, and it might be another 50 until they’re relevant. Trash organization with trash players. It’s just fitting.
