The Eagles fans acting like Lane Johnson ruined their season by retiring in October are absolute losers.
This dude gave Philadelphia 14 seasons, won TWO Super Bowls, made six Pro Bowls and spent his entire career there. Then when he finally walks away, he openly says he desperately wanted to finish one more season, but his personal and family priorities changed and “it is critical that I focus on my mental health.”
And some people are worried that he didn’t give the Eagles a more convenient retirement date?.. shut up.
You can absolutely hate what this does to the Eagles. Losing Lane Johnson four games into a season is a MASSIVE football problem. But that is not the same thing as blaming Lane Johnson. He didn’t wake up one morning and decide it would be hilarious to leave the Eagles scrambling at right tackle.
This is a franchise legend leaving under circumstances he probably wishes were completely different. After everything that dude gave Philadelphia, the first response should probably be THANK YOU, not complaining that his life didn’t fall apart on a more convenient schedule for the depth chart.
That shit is loser behavior.
