Brewers Had 11 Years to Get Timeless Ticket Seats Right.. and Still Needed a Do-Over

Milwaukee Brewers, MLB, World Series, Timeless Ticket, Rick Schlesinger

Some Brewers fans waited ELEVEN YEARS to cash in their $1,000 Timeless Tickets for the World Series.. and when Milwaukee finally got there, their options included seats in the 400 level or STANDING ROOM.

Back in 2015, the Brewers sold these engraved brass tickets that guaranteed admission to one future home game, even the World Series. They were also supposed to get the best available seat locations, subject to availability. People held onto these things for over a decade because THIS was the game worth waiting for.

Danny Fochesato told the AP that when Milwaukee almost made the World Series in 2018, he had seats behind home plate lined up for a potential game. This year, when the Brewers actually MAKE IT, his redemption form only showed upper-deck or standing-room options. He said he even saw better seats available during the public sale. How do you wait eleven years and end up with worse options than the year your team didn’t even get there?!

To their credit, the Brewers admitted they screwed up. Team president Rick Schlesinger apologized, and now fans who applied by the deadline get to keep their World Series seats AND keep their Timeless Ticket to use for another future game.

That’s a pretty damn good fix. But this whole promotion was built around the possibility of one day making the World Series.. how was the seating the part they weren’t prepared for?
