Can somebody PLEASE tell me who’s actually good at college football besides Miami?!
BYU was the No. 2 team in the COUNTRY and just lost to UCF in double overtime. Texas Tech went into Cincinnati ranked No. 8 and lost by 13. Tennessee lost to South Carolina, USC scored a whopping SEVEN points against Wisconsin, and Iowa couldn’t even put up two touchdowns against Minnesota.
That’s FIVE ranked teams losing to unranked opponents in one Saturday! At this point, I don’t even want to see the new AP Poll. Just throw everybody’s name on a wheel and spin it.
Meanwhile, Miami goes out and hangs 52 on Pitt like it’s just another Saturday.
And listen.. Ohio State is still damn good. UCLA is undefeated, Indiana keeps finding ways to win, and there are absolutely other talented teams in this country.
But HOW MANY of these teams would you actually trust in a College Football Playoff game right now? Every week we spend six days convincing ourselves somebody is a legitimate national championship contender, and by Saturday night we’re wondering if they even deserve to be ranked.
Miami certainly isn’t unbeatable.. but who the hell is beating them?
