Ben Kindel going through a normal Penguins practice is a pretty great hockey story right now.
A week earlier, the 19-year-old lost consciousness on the team plane, which returned to Salt Lake City so he could receive medical care. On Tuesday, he was back at full practice alongside Evgeni Malkin and Egor Chinakhov.
He thanked the medical staff and flight crew who helped him, and I really liked what he said about his teammates afterward:
โI’m grateful for my teammates as well. They made it so easy just to come back and make it normal.โ
Whether he plays Thursday or needs more time, I’m just glad he gets to have that again.. show up at the rink, skate with the guys and enjoy being a hockey player.
