Philadelphia is 2-5 after Monday’s 38-21 loss to Dallas and still has FIVE standalone national games currently scheduled. That includes Dallas again on Thanksgiving and Houston on Christmas Eve.
When your team’s good, you love that schedule. Everybody gets to see how good you are. When you’ve lost five straight, a Sunday afternoon game that the rest of the country can ignore starts looking pretty appealing.
The holiday games are worse because you can’t even just turn it off and be pissed off by yourself. Imagine sitting through another loss to Dallas while a relative who barely watches football starts explaining what’s wrong with the Eagles.
You KNOW what’s wrong. You’ve been watching this shit every week. You were just hoping to eat some turkey without having to discuss it.
